In the City of Lights’ Mandarin Oriental Hotel, traditional service combines with the shine and identity of the French capital. Luxury, design and haut couture are the inspiration.

On the rue Saint Honoré, few streets from Place Vendome, the Mandarin Oriental Paris stands, as all the other hotels of Oriental chain, as a unique experience of identity and comfort. With 138 rooms, distributed in ninety-nine single rooms and thirty-nine suites. Seven of the suites were designed by Sybille de Margerie and are on the last floor, these can be connected to become the largest suite of all Paris, nearly 1,000 square meters including terraces from where the main strategic sites of the city can be seen.

The hotel also offers a complete spa to enjoy couple massages and other treatments; family plans, and -on the first floor-, a large and beautiful garden ideal for a tea party afternoon. It is also possible to enjoy the marvelous cooking of Chef Thierry Marx (Two Micheline stars) in Le Sur Mesure and the Camellia restaurants, or take a drink in Bar 8.

A ROOM WITH A VIEW: Royale Mandarin, Royale Orientale, Cabochons, Broderies de Cristal, Couture and Atelier suites are possible to be united to make a 1,000 square meters room of luxury and exclusiveness that combine contemporary design with some oriental details in white, beige and gold.
From the Royale Mandarin, a 350 square meters room is possible to see the Opera Garnier among the roofs of Paris. The bathrooms are accurately designed and on the same colors (golden floors) as the bedrooms and living rooms they offer comfort and luxury for an unforgettable experience. It’s important to say that from the bath you can see the Eiffel Tower.

Some suites are decorated in ocres and contrasts, whereas other ones have shines and sparkle combining luxury with comfort in every one of these apartments for guests and visitors willing to have a dinner or a party.
CAMELIAS AT BREAKFAST: To make a unique experience in every corner of the gardens and restaurants of Mandarine Oriental was Jouin Manku Studio’s task. These architecture and design studio lead by French Patrik Jouin (Nantes 1967) and Kenyan Snajit Manku (Nairobi 1972), makes a homage to beauty and haut couture in the French Version of Mandarin Oriental.

Outside with the Table du Jardin, a huge bird cage table, and inside the Camellia restaurant and Bar 8 are comfortable and full of creativity.
In the center of the restaurant Camellia there is a sweet and pastry desk, and altar and homage to Saint Honoré patron of bakers. The wooden cover and some floor parts are a continuation of exterior English style gardens, to the inside of the restaurant. So are the large glass windows that let in the green inside the good cooking dining room.

SUR MESURE: “The idea for the design of this restaurant was to keep it very Parisean and elegant, an homage to haut couture, but also comfortable and intimate. This is why the ambience is cocoon like, designed by artist Heide Winge Strom” explain the designers in the web page of the project.
